Cody was born on the 12th day of November (1986) to Garry and Audie Mahoney of Jefferson County, Indiana. Cody has a younger sister, Caley.
Cody has had a steering wheel in his hands since he was able to walk, and our photographs will show progression of the auto racing career he is building for himself, as the years roll by.

Cody ran the "Yellow Go-Cart" in 1997 and 1998 capturing the 1997 Hoosier Kart Club Championship and placing near the top in (1998) Kentucky Karting Association Points.
Madison Came Running recognizes the "Cody Mahoney Story" began with his father, Garry Mahoney, an excellent driver and track champion in the mid 1990's before moving to be his son's crew chief.

In 1999 Cody advanced to Mini-Cups - Replicas of NASCAR Racers but are only half their size, powered by Honda Engines capable of pushing the Mini-Cup to speeds in excess of 60 miles per hour.
